WHAT IS IT? The Rogue Gallery provides the visual artist with a low cost high profile opportunity to show their work over the period of the Rogue Performance Festival running between March 5 - 13, 2004. This is a new component that we are introducing to the festival this year.
WHAT IS THIS ROGUE ABOUT? The Rogue is a non-juried arts festival that celebrates the independent performer and artist. The Rogue is committed to an artist’s right to produce and present work without the judgment of a jury process and without fear of censure.
HOW WILL IT WORK? We currently have over 30 performing acts booked into 3 performance venues in the Tower District. There is the possibility of a couple more BYOV's (Bring Your Own Venues) ... a potential of over 6000 audience members over 2 weekends. Rogue Galleries are being asked to open until at least until 8:30 PM on Festival Nights. With all those folk roaming around... you do the math!
WHERE IS IT? Two Rogue Galleries have been set up in the historical and cultural Tower District of Fresno, California. They will be housed at "Ashtree Studio" at 1035 N. Fulton and "Studio 637" at 637 E. Olive in Fresno, California.
HOW DO I GET IN? APPLY! Its only $20! Your entry will be considered on a FIRST RECEIVED, FIRST ACCEPTED basis.
AM I SHARING WALL SPACE WITH OTHER ARTISTS? Yes. Each artist will be given wall space measuring approximately 100 square feet... about 10 feet in width and 10 in height. If you have more work to show/sell ... we encourage you to bring your own stand-up rack for your section of wall.
WHAT IF I SELL A PIECE OR TWO DURING THE FESTIVAL? We hope you do! You can be assured of at least 80% of that money. Rogue Galleries will not charge more than a 20% comission.
WHAT IF I HAVE MY OWN GALLERY OR WILL BE SHOWING AT A NEARBY GALLERY? In keeping with the "inclusive" theme of the Rogue we are also introducing the BYOG (Bring Your Own Gallery.) For only $50 you will be included in our nifty Rogue Map. Any arrangements you make (i.e. percentage for sale of work, etc...) is between you and the owner of the gallery.

The ROGUE will receive applications for:
ROGUE GALLERY until 5 PM, Tuesday, December 30th, 2003. Any applications received after this date will not be accepted.
BYOG (BRING YOUR OWN GALLERY until 5 PM, Friday, January 5th, 2004. Any applications received after this date will not be accepted.
