PARTICIPATION
The Rogue Performance Festival 2004 is an open, non-juried, festival. The Rogue
is committed to an artist’s right to produce work without the judgment of a jury
process and without fear of censure. The only constraints on material or content
are the consideration of the health and safety of all those involved, including
staff, artists, volunteers and audiences. As an applicant you are given the
choice of three different Festival categories within which to participate, each
with a separate application process:

Mainstage Venue category they may apply as a BYOV performer prior to the

All applications must have a company name, primary and secondary contact. If an individual/company has been found submitting more than one application, ALL applications submitted by that individual/company will be removed from the application process. The primary and secondary contacts of a company cannot be the contacts for a second company applying to The Rogue Performance Festival.
Companies in the Festival may not sell or transfer their spot to another company. If we find that a company has sold or transferred their place to a second company, both companies will be removed from The Rogue Performance Festival and will forfeit their application fees.

production will be listed in the official Rogue Map program guide and on our
website (www.roguefestival.com).

IF YOU HAVE ANY PHOTOS OR PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL NOW, PLEASE SUBMIT THEM WITH YOUR APPLICATION. Digital media preferred if possible. Please submit photos in JPEG or TIFF formats and text in .TXT, . ROGUE MAINSTAGE VENUE APPLICATION GUIDELINES

NON- REFUNDABLE PROCESSING FEE $10
MAXIMUM SEATING 100
APPLICANTS
The Rogue will begin receiving applications at 9:00 AM on Monday September 29th.
All applications must be received by 5:00 PM on Friday October 17th,

WITHDRAWALS & REFUNDS
All withdrawals from The Rogue Performance Festival 2004 must be made in writing
by the company's primary. If a company in The 2004 Rogue withdraws, notification
must be received by December 1, 2003 in order to receive a 75% refund of the
application fee. A Mainstage Venue company that withdraws after December 1st
will forfeit 100% of its application fee. As we approach publication of the
program (early January) the Rogue will close the waiting list and return all
application fees to companies that did not move to participant status.
Applicants on the waiting list will be notified if a slot becomes available and
may withdraw at any time (prior to accepting a slot) and have their application
fee returned to them.
TECHNICAL PRODUCTION
All Rogue Performance Festival performances start on time. There is a 60
minute time limit for Mainstage Venue performers. There are only 30 minutes
between all performances, which includes fifteen minutes to strike the show that
just ended and fifteen minutes to set up the next production with the audience
being seated concurrently.
Venues are equipped with basic lighting and sound and each company will receive a 90 minute technical rehearsal / cue to cue. We will provide companies with more info on their venue so that they can be as prepared for their technical rehearsal as possible. The Rogue provides one technician in each Mainstage Venue to run lights and/or sound. All companies must supply one Production Stage Manager to call your show (an additional sound operator if necessary) and enough crew to set up and strike your show. Since there are some technical limitations in the venues, it is best to focus on the content of your play and try to keep the technical/production values as simple, imaginative and as compact as possible. THE VENUES PROVIDE NO STORAGE. Sets, props and costumes must be removed after each performance.
BOX OFFICE / TICKETS
The Rogue returns 100% of the box office ticket sales to the individual
companies and provides all front of house staff (i.e. House managers, box
office, ushers) for Rogue Mainstage Venue participants.
Each company sets its own ticket price (rounded off to the nearest dollar) up to
a maximum of $6.00.
PLEASE NOTE that the Rogue will be selling Rogue Ready passes. There will be 100 passes available. Rogue Mainstage Venue participants will receive $4 for any audience member using a Rogue Ready pass to see your show.
